How the Joseph Storehouse Principle Can Save Your Business Future
Hi Kingdom Giant,
I trust that by God’s grace, you are doing well.
I am doing very well myself. This month has been super amazing for me. 😊
AYAC 2025- “BUILT TO LAST” is a week away 😊😊😊😊😊😊
I am so excited, and I look forward to meeting with you at the AYAC 2025 Job Fair. Details are in the events section below.
You cannot afford to miss it. I have a link curated for you to create your customised picture for AYAC 2025.
Hey, HAPPY INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY! Today (August 12) is observed by the United Nations as a day to recognize young people driving social change, fostering development, and promoting peace across the world. It is themed “Localizing The SDGs”.
Today, I have another story to share with you. You might be very familiar with it.
Abimbola (not real name) runs XYZ Group (not real name), a sprawling conglomerate with thriving subsidiaries in Real Estate, Agriculture, Energy, Hospitality, and more. Revenue flows in abundantly, contracts closed, investments multiplying, and markets expanding.
But there’s a problem.
Despite the inflow, there’s no intentional saving and storage of the company’s surplus using what I like to call the “Joseph Storehouse Strategy”. The cash comes in… and goes out. Some is spent on expansion, some on luxury, some on projects that don’t yield long-term value.
And in this, XYZ Group is not alone. Many businesses like XYZ Group make millions but have no “grain in the barn.” When the inevitable lean season comes (economic downturn, market shifts, policy changes, or even global crises), they scramble for survival.
Now, compare this to Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners’ Chapel). For decades, the ministry has stored up in seasons of plenty, building reserves, and strategically funding Kingdom expansion debt-free. This is not luck. It is biblical wisdom applied.
“Every church requires a functional annual budget that defines allocations to staff members, operational costs, capital projects, and percentage for reserves following the Joseph system for preserving the future. this is a covenant cure for wastes.” - Excerpt from the book- Treasures Of Life Vol. 1 by Bishop David Oyedepo (President, Living Faith Church Worldwide)
In Genesis 41, Joseph, guided by God, advised Pharaoh:
“Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years. And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities. And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine.” (Genesis 41:34-36 KJV)
It wasn’t just about survival, it was about positioning Egypt as the world’s food bank when others were desperate.
Why the Joseph Storehouse Strategy Still Works Today
Economic Cycles Are Certain – Booms and busts are natural. Only the prepared thrive in both.
Liquidity Builds Influence – Reserves give you negotiation power, the ability to buy assets cheaply, and the agility to seize opportunities.
Stress Reduction – Leaders who have stored surplus make decisions from a place of strength, not desperation.
Legacy Creation – A storehouse outlives the founder, sustaining generations.
Kingdom Impact – More than personal gain, reserves empower you to respond quickly to God-inspired projects and needs.
Kingdom Giant, the abundance you’re seeing today is not just for today. It’s seed for tomorrow’s famine and for tomorrow’s divine assignments.
Imagine if you set aside 20% of all net earnings into a strategic, interest-bearing, and investment-ready “storehouse account.” Imagine if, five years from now, while others are downsizing, you are expanding, acquiring, and funding Kingdom impact.
This is more than financial wisdom. It’s a covenant principle. And principles, unlike trends, never expire.
So I ask you: Will you live like Abimbola, or like Joseph?
Stay Kingdom-minded!
